50/50 parkway trees

Sugar Grove's 2025 spring program split the cost 50/50 between the Village and the resident, covering the tree, delivery, installation and mulch, for owner-occupied homes only, first come, first served. Public Works picks the final spot and planted in late May to early June (Village of Sugar Grove, 2025 program). Check current-year terms with Public Works, 630-391-7230 (Public Works).

Permit for street trees

Village code §7-4-7, as reproduced in an October 2025 board report, requires a Public Works permit, applied for at least 48 hours ahead, before anyone prunes, removes or otherwise disturbs a tree on a street or Village property (board report PDF).
